Where to get good veggie burgers

Sweet Art - Shaw neighborhood, small but tall and smashable, on a wheat bun, about half soy/ half lentils and veggies, very moist, chips or fruit

OR Juice and Smoothie - 2 locations in central corridor, medium sized and smashable, on a wheat bun, all grains and veggies, crinkle chips

PuraVegan - Forest Park, completely raw and topped with tons of veggies and cashew cheese, no bun.

Local Harvest Cafe - Tower Grove neighborhood, sizeable, choice of bread, pinto bean patty, chips

Terrene - Central West End, large, white roll, made of match meat, comes with very good fries.

The Royale - Tower Grove, these guys know their way around Match meat.

Shangri La - Benton Park, large, egg bun, mix of soy, bean and mushroom, with baked sweet potato fries (currently closed, but I'm hoping she changes her mind.)

Black Bear Bakery -Cherokee Lemp District, black bean burger - more to come

The Bleeding Deacon - Gravois and Chippewa, spicy, white beans and rice, non crumbly

Mokabe's - Tower Grove, kaiser roll,  house made choice of soy or black bean

Schlafly Bottleworks - Maplewood, Chipotle Blackbean Burger, spinach, gouda, sriracha aioli on wheat bun.  Side of Tortilla Chips.  They also have a portabello mushroom sandwich that is above average.

Soulard Coffee Garden - Soulard, Generally very good vegetarian choice.  Garden made black bean and portabella burger with lettuce and tomato on a toasted kaiser roll.  Choice of side.

Boogaloo - Maplewood, huge housemade burger, "volcano sauce", avocado and sprouts, white bun

SubZero Vodka Bar - Central West End, falafel burger, or black bean burger, both are fine, but nothing to write home about.

Atomic Cowboy - The Grove, char-grilled and made of veggies and breadcrumbs.  ok.
